Plot[]
Using himself as an alarm clock, Samy wakes Lucius to remind him that it's an important day. Lucius remembers and doesn't want to get up; it's his father's birthday and per tradition each Heinous is defrosted for one day on their birthday. Lucius and Beezy (who is flung from his bed) greet Grandpa Heinous who criticizes their monotone birthday song. For Lucius VI's birthday present, his son takes him to Jimmy's house and says that Two Shoes is his present! Lucius actually wants Jimmy to keep an eye on his dad and make him happy, and in exchange Jimmy can be a full-fledged Heinous for the day.
Left alone with Jimmy, Grandpa Heinous looks through a book before Jimmy invasively tries to read it and takes him to have some fun. Jimmy abuses the Heinous power to try and entertain Grandpa Heinous to no avail. After telling Heloise about his new position, she asks why he would even want to be a Heinous. Jimmy says its about the responsibility to look after the old man... who he let wander off while he wasn't paying attention. Grandpa Heinous tearfully (more smoke than tears) tells Jimmy he just wanted to spend time with his son on his birthday. Luring Lucius over with the fake interest of leaving Miseryville, Jimmy crushes Lucius' hopes and his father freezes him in a fridge as payback for ignoring him. Jimmy is irritated that he was tricked while Grandpa Heinous takes control of Miseryville.
Confronting the elder Heinous, Jimmy demands he unfreeze his son. He refuses with the law saying a Heinous can only be unfrozen on their birthday. When questioned if he knows his own son's birthday, Grandpa Heinous lies and says its when the three moons circle the sun three times and a quacking duck flies backwards. Jimmy gets creative and makes it happen to Grandpa Heinous and Samy's astonishment. Lucius gets unfrozen and his dad re-gifts Jimmy to him with the promise that he'll be frozen again by tomorrow. Brainstorming on how to fix all of this, Jimmy remembers the book Grandpa Heinous was reading earlier and it's apparently a photo album of him and his son having fun together. Calling Heloise for a favor, she brings over the older Heinous who argues with his son until Jimmy says that he's staying right there with them for as long as it takes for them to make up. They make up. The heartfelt moment is ruined when Beezy freezes both his father and grandfather, after being denied cake the entire episode. He promises to unfreeze them after he and Jimmy finish the cake.
