Plot[]
After the two eat some treats and hug, Jimmy takes Cerbee out for a walk around town, although it's not really a walk as it is Jimmy being pulled around by a hyper Cerbee who makes messes wherever he goes. Cerbee's shenanigans lead him and Jimmy to Lucius's garden, where Cerbee inadvertently saves Lucius's life from a missile (that he launched). Lucius hails the dog a hero and praises him on live TV and builds a statue in his honor. Although Beezy is annoyed that Cerbee's getting praise for the same stuff he does, Jimmy is proud of his dog.
Back at home, Jimmy tries to fix Cerbee dinner but Lucius arrives with a better dinner, and when they try to play fetch Lucius gets Samy to fetch the bone for him. Jimmy starts to get sad that what he and Cerbee do isn't good enough for the dog anymore, and playing fetch with Beezy just isn't the same. After finding Cerbee in his bed and a new bed gets delivered on top of his, Jimmy says that it doesn't really fit and offends Lucius. He coaxes Cerbee into leaving with him, where he will have more luxuries.
Saddened by the loss of his bed, Beezy and Heloise try to find a new one for him to adopt (that's not a toaster). Jimmy isn't interested in any creature or Heloise disguised as a cat, he just wants his dog back. He goes to demand Cerbee back from Lucius, who shows all of the nice things he now has. Cerbee rejects the Jimmy hug and a dejected Jimmy leaves. Waiting atop Cerbee's doghouse that night, Jimmy gives out hugs and sings his song for his little buddy. When Cerbee tries to hug Lucius and he pushes him away, he realizes he misses Jimmy and returns home. Lucius is left to fill the void with his son dressed as Cerbee (who meows).
